Project AWARE aims to enhance the mental and behavioral health of students through a collaborative framework involving education, mental health, and community sports. Their evidence-based tools and programs, developed with interdisciplinary stakeholders, aim to reduce inequality in academic, social, behavioral, and health outcomes. Through comprehensive mental and behavior health supports, Project AWARE prepares students for post-secondary pathways, health crisis to enhance the work of school staff, practitioners, and policymakers.

Tacoma Public Schools is a school district in Tacoma, Washington, that serves more than 30,000 students across 36 schools. The district is committed to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students and offers a range of programs to support their academic, social, and emotional growth. Tacoma Public Schools has taken steps to address mental health issues in schools, including providing counseling services, partnering with community organizations to offer mental health resources, and training staff to recognize and respond to mental health concerns.

MultiCare is a healthcare organization that operates hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities throughout Washington State. MultiCare has made significant contributions to addressing mental health issues in the region, including establishing a dedicated Behavioral Health Center in Tacoma. The center provides a range of services, including psychiatric evaluation and treatment, substance abuse treatment, and counseling for individuals and families.
